I had lived in the same city (Salt Lake City, Utah) for the last 28 years until my husband got a job in Atlanta, Georgia last month. Now I’m living in a completely different place, feeling the pain of losing a great community in SLC, but appreciating something new at the same time.
I got the idea of creating this blog after I checked the Internet, hoping to get some advice from people about relocating to another state. Surprisingly, I couldn’t find anything. But I happen to know that Atlanta alone has a large number of transplants. Hence, Transplanted was born. I hope some of you will be able to relate to my experiences and share some of your own. If you have suggestions about how I can make this blog even better (as if), please let me know!
A little more about me:
I’m in my 30s, happily married and thinking of trying to have children. Will our move interfere with last-ditch baby plans or lead to new career opportunities? How will I get along in this Southern part of the States? Just how homesick will I become? Well, those are the questions I’ll explore here–and much more.
